Did you know that a borehole can provide about one million litres of safe drinking water per year?
Boreholes are very essential to due to the many benefits they have and have therefore become the most popular sources of water in various communities. However, constructing a borehole is quite time consuming and a bit costly but worthwhile due to the impact it has.
Here at Ray Forbes, we are honored to have been part of constructing several boreholes. The boreholes that we have constructed turned out to be a huge success thanks to our clients who acknowledge our work and allowed us to facilitate the projects. Some of the boreholes that we have constructed are located in Ruai Nairobi County, Rapsu Vilage in Isiolo County, Mukuyuni in Makueni County among others.

One of the completed borehole construction we’ve done is the one located at Rapsu Village in Isiolo County.
Isiolo being a semi-arid area, there was need to construct an 8 inch diameter borehole for a certain farmer living in the area for his crops and livestock. The borehole is of aid to the neighbours as well. The borehole is 85 metres deep and as usual before constructing a borehole, a hydrogeological survey had to be done.
A hydrogeological survey is usually done so as to establish the potential quantity of water as well as its quality. Through Ray Forbes’ expertise, we were able to do both the hydro geological survey and drilling of the borehole. The entire project amounted to Ksh 500,000 which was quite a good price for such a project and at the end of the day we always want to ensure that our clients are satisfied with our work.
