Swimming pools are structures designed to hold water for swimming and other recreation purposes. As much as swimming pools are common today, they are ancient as they existed as early as 2600 BC. The first swimming pool which was known as “The Great Bath” was constructed in Pakistan measuring 12 by 7 meters and made of Bricks and Gypsum.
To construct a swimming pool, certain considerations need to be taken note of such as the location, design, size, depth, weight of the water in the pool and the filtration system. Another key thing to be considered is materials used for construction. Concrete is the mainly used material for construction however, there are other types of materials which include Fibre glass, Vinyl and Gunite among others.
Constructing a pool not only calls for labor but also procedures that are to be followed. The first step is to find a location and your preferred design which includes the shape of the pool. After visualizing how you want your pool to look like the next step is excavation which is followed by construction of the swimming pool base. This step is the most essential as it determines the life of the swimming pool.
The other steps that follow for the pool construction to be a success are installing a steel cage for the pool wall and bottom, installing a filtration system, Concreting the pool then lastly, constructing a walking room for the pool which can be made of tiles, marble or stone.
Ray Forbes has gladly served a number of its clients by constructing swimming pools for their homes such as:
A pool at a house in Mugumo Road, Nairobi which is a size of 100,000litres

We also have many similar upcoming projects and look forward to be reached out by new clients to facilitate their desired construction. Feedback from clients that we have worked with before is also highly appreciated.
